Stephen Willeford is a native of Sutherland Springs, Texas, whose courageous actions during the 2017 Sutherland Springs church shooting helped stop the attacker and prevent the loss of additional lives.

 

When tragedy struck his community, Stephen responded with extraordinary courage. His actions that day became part of a remarkable story of faith, responsibility, courage, and the willingness of an ordinary citizen to act when others desperately needed help.
